The Federation of Gujarat Industries was founded in the year 1918, in the erstwhile Baroda State, Under progressive rule of Shrimant Sayajirao Gaekwad, who encouraged social reforms and industrial development to Modernize Baroda. Comprising multiple independent industrial associations, like-minded groups, and industrial members, FGI was founded in the erstwhile Baroda State to promote, protect, and project the interests of industries while addressing the broader needs of the community.
FGI boasts a rich tradition of industrial development, proactively working to benefit Gujarat’s business and industry sectors. By keeping pace with modernization and reforms, we have consistently driven progress and prosperity across the state’s economy.
Recognized as a leading industrial federation in Gujarat, our archives are filled with milestones marking the vast industrial growth in and around Vadodara, located on the golden corridor of Gujarat. Beyond our economic contributions, FGI has played a significant social role, establishing institutions such as the Baroda Management Association, Baroda Productivity Council, Co-operative Bank of Baroda Ltd., Federation Samaj Kalyan Trust, and Baroda Citizens Council.
