We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Session on Services of Centers of Excellence (CoEs), held on 19th August 2025 at FGI. The session was expertly led by Mr. Bhavik Khera, Managing Director of SEE Linkages Pvt. Ltd. and Past Chairman of CII Central Gujarat. The session featured Shri Sushant Prakash Patil, Regional PF Commissioner-II, Regional Office, Vadodara, who provided valuable insights into the key factors and provisions of the ELI Scheme, launched by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India on 1st August 2025.

FGI successfully conducted a highly insightful Session on Cyber Security on 2nd August 2025 at its premises in Vadodara. The session was led by Mr. Ravindra Choubisa, Deputy Manager – Sales Training, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, who shared valuable insights on how individuals and organizations can stay safe online and protect themselves from evolving cyber threats. He covered key areas such as phishing, ransomware, safe email and password practices, secure data handling, and social engineering risks.

The Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) celebrated its 108th Year of Industrial Excellence on 23rd June 2025, marking over a century of significant contributions to Gujarat’s industrial growth and policy leadership. The event was graced by Dr. Hemang Joshi, Member of Parliament, Vadodara, as the Chief Guest, and Major General Mohit Gandhi, Commandant, EME School, as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Sameer Khera, President, FGI, delivered the Welcome Address, highlighting FGI’s legacy and commitment to future-ready industrial development.

Overview of Lean Six Sigma – 20th June 2025

FGI successfully organized an insightful session on “Overview of Lean Six Sigma” on 20th June 2025 at the FGI Business Centre, Vadodara. The session was led by Mr. Manish Dhanuka, Founder & CEO of Bizoptimise Services, who shared his deep expertise on the objectives and principles of Lean Six Sigma. Mr. Dhanuka also elaborated on key tools and techniques, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), the DMAIC improvement methodology, and strategies for organization-wide integration of Lean Six Sigma. This significant landmark was inaugurated on 2nd May 2025 at the august hands of a distinguished Past Presidents of FGI. The occasion witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed FGI members, the Managing Committee, and media representatives, making it a memorable event that reflects FGI’s unwavering commitment to national pride and institutional legacy.

We are pleased to share the successful completion of our Workshop on Implementation Challenges in Kaizen and 5S at FGI on 28th April 2025! The Workshop, led by Dr. Anurag Mehta — Industrial Psychologist, Executive Coach (SHRM), and Management Consultant — provided valuable insights into the Fundamentals of Kaizen and 5S, sustaining improvement initiatives, building a cost-efficiency mindset, 5S audit techniques and gap identification, and overcoming real-world implementation challenges.

The “Seminar on GPCB Compliances & Hidden Utility Savings: Unlocking Energy Efficiency and Sustainability” was held on October 9, 2024, at FGI. Featuring speakers Mr. Sumit Gupta and Mr. Riyaz Hussain, the seminar focused on GPCB compliance, utility savings, and decarbonization strategies to enhance sustainability and profitability. On July 12, 2024, FGI held the third edition of the ‘FGI MSME Loan Mela’ to support MSME companies and startups in accessing affordable credit facilities. The event provided an excellent opportunity for participants to explore various bank offers to enhance their production, research, or management capabilities. Representatives from numerous MSMEs engaged in in-depth discussions with senior officers from banks, including State Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Central Bank of India, along with the District Industries Centre (DIC) Vadodara, to address their unique financial needs.

Enhancing Bilateral Trade: An Interaction with U.S. Consul General Mr. Mike Hankey

On May 9, 2024, FGI hosted U.S. Consul General Mr. Mike Hankey and Ms. Sangeeta Taneja for a discussion on boosting U.S.-India trade. Chaired by FGI President Mr. Tarak Patel, the meeting focused on opportunities for U.S. businesses in Gujarat, with Mr. Hankey highlighting the Select USA Investment Program. The session underscored the commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and fostering collaboration.

“Master Excel with ChatGPT” workshop

On May 30, 2024, FGI hosted the second batch of the “Master Excel with ChatGPT” workshop, led by IT consultant Mr. Manoj Chakerwarti. This session equipped participants with both basic and advanced Excel skills, highlighting ChatGPT’s role in enhancing productivity. Topics included formulas, macros, automation, and AI-driven task simplification. Attendees gained hands-on experience in using ChatGPT to streamline data tasks, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy, with practical exercises for real-time application.

Response to Petition for Tariff Proposals for 2024-25

FGI submitted responses to MGVCL, GETCO, and GSECL’s tariff petitions for FY 2024-25, aiming to protect Gujarat industries’ interests. Public hearings are scheduled for 4th March (GSECL, GETCO, SLDC, etc.) and 14th March (DGVCL, MGVCL, PGVCL, UGVCL).

Live Viewing of Interim Union Budget 2024-25
